Golf Launch Monitors

A golf launch monitor turns shots into measurable feedback. Depending on the model, it can report ball speed, carry distance, launch, spin, direction and club-delivery information to make practice, coaching and simulation more purposeful.

Golf 360 stocks launch monitors for range sessions, home practice and simulator setups, with expert advice and fast New Zealand delivery.

What Data Does a Launch Monitor Measure?

Not every displayed metric is measured directly. Some devices measure core ball or club data and calculate additional values through algorithms. Compare which numbers are measured, which are estimated and whether the available data answers the questions you actually have about your game.

Radar vs Camera-Based Systems

Radar systems track movement through space and often benefit from more ball-flight distance, particularly indoors. Camera-based units observe impact and early ball movement and may suit tighter spaces. Performance depends on the specific device and setup, so follow the manufacturer's indoor and outdoor requirements.

Space Required for Home Use

Check room width, ceiling height, hitting distance, device placement and required ball flight before buying. Allow enough space to swing safely with the longest club. A unit advertised for indoor use may still need more room than your garage or spare room provides.

Software, Subscriptions and Devices

Review included courses or practice modes, ongoing subscription costs and compatibility with phones, tablets, computers, projectors and third-party simulator software. These costs can materially change the long-term value of the setup.

Portable Practice or Full Simulation?

A portable unit such as the Garmin Approach R10 can provide useful range feedback and entry-level simulation, while higher-level models offer broader data, integrated displays or more capable home-simulator performance. Choose around your primary use rather than buying features you rarely need.
