A Real Miniature Golf Course, Not an Obstacle Course

Most mini putt courses are built with high sides that funnel the ball back into play, so you can more or less blast it at the hole and let the rails do the rest. Ours is not built that way. The holes are open, with no sides to bail you out, which makes it play a lot more like actual golf.

That means you have to think a bit. On some holes the smart play is to lay up rather than take it on, and a putt hit too hard can genuinely finish in the garden. There are also a few par threes where a hole in one is a real possibility rather than a fluke.

Play it with a bit of patience and it is a properly good course. Go at it swinging and it will punish you, which is usually where the family arguments start.

How Long Does 18 Holes Take?

Around 30 to 45 minutes for a full round. Larger groups and younger children will sit at the longer end of that, and there is no rush from us either way, take as long as you like.

Opening Hours

Saturday – Tuesday 9:00am – 8:00pm
Wednesday – Friday 9:00am – 10:00pm

The course is open the same hours as the rest of the site, every day of the year except Christmas Day. One thing worth knowing: there is some lighting out on the course, but it is not really built for playing in the dark. Mini golf is at its best in daylight, so through winter we would suggest getting your round in before the light goes.

The Course Is Open Air

Mini golf is outdoors and uncovered, so it is very much a fine-weather activity. If the weather turns while you are here, the driving range bays are all covered and floodlit, and the simulator studios are fully indoors, so there is usually a way to save the afternoon.

Birthdays, School Groups and Work Functions

Mini golf works well for mixed groups because nobody needs any golfing experience and everyone can have a go. We host birthdays, school groups and work functions regularly.

There is still nothing to book for a normal visit, but for a larger group it helps to know you are coming. Get in touch beforehand and we will make sure it runs smoothly.
