Golf Club Fitting

Are you looking for golf clubs that truly suit your swing?

At Golf 360, we provide professional golf club fitting services using Foresight Sports GCQuad launch monitor technology and real-world coaching experience to help golfers find equipment that performs at its best.

Your fitting is free when you're buying new clubs.

Rather than relying on guesswork, we can identify the club head, shaft, loft, lie angle and grip combination that best suits your swing. Whether you're looking for more distance off the tee, tighter dispersion with your irons, improved consistency or greater confidence on the course, a custom golf club fitting can make a significant difference to your game.

With access to a wide range of club heads and shafts from the game's leading brands, we'll help identify the combination that delivers the best performance for your swing.

Why get a golf club fitting?

Many golfers play with clubs that aren't ideally suited to their swing speed, launch conditions or playing style. Even small changes to shaft flex, club length, lie angle, loft or grip size can have a noticeable impact on performance.

A professional golf club fitting can help you:

  • Increase distance
  • Improve accuracy
  • Reduce unwanted shot patterns
  • Improve consistency
  • Optimise ball flight
  • Build confidence in your equipment

Why we fit on GCQuad

Our fitting studio runs Foresight Sports GCQuad, and the reason we rate it is consistency. The readings hold up shot after shot, with very few results you would need to question. Swing speed, ball speed and launch angle, the numbers that genuinely drive a fitting decision, are all measured accurately rather than estimated.

That matters more than it sounds. When you are comparing two shafts or two heads and the difference between them is small, the whole decision rests on whether you can trust the numbers in front of you. If the data is unreliable you are simply guessing with extra steps, and that is how golfers end up with clubs that felt good on the day and never quite worked on the course.

It has also changed how we do lie angles. The traditional approach was a lie board and a strip of tape, reading the mark left on the sole. That method still works, but with GCQuad we can place fiducial markers on the club and measure lie angle properly on real shots instead. For iron fitting in particular that is a genuine step up.

It is the same technology used on tour by some of the best players in the world, which tells you plenty about how good it is. For us it means we can fit with real confidence in what we are seeing.

The GCQuad studio is dedicated to fitting. Our simulator studios for hire run Foresight Falcon, and every bay on our driving range has GCQuad ball tracking built in, so you can take what you learn in a fitting straight out onto the range.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I get custom golf clubs fitted in Tauranga?

Golf 360 at 2 Matapihi Road, Mount Maunganui, runs a dedicated fitting studio on Foresight Sports GCQuad, about fifteen minutes from Tauranga city. We fit across every brand we stock rather than pushing one manufacturer, so the recommendation comes from what your numbers actually show. You can book online or call the shop on 07 572 0770.

Who is the best golf club fitter near Mount Maunganui?

Rather than tell you it is us, here is what to look for. Ask whether the fitter is PGA qualified, what launch monitor they use and whether it measures or estimates ball data, and whether they fit across brands or only the one they stock. At Golf 360 your fitting is carried out by PGA Professionals Kevin Wolmarans and Ryan Maxwell, or by Justin Park and Ethan Vassilatos, all on GCQuad. Any fitter who can answer those three questions well is worth your time.

How much does professional golf club fitting cost in New Zealand?

At Golf 360 there is no charge for a fitting if you are genuinely in the market for new clubs, whether that is a driver, a fairway, a set of irons or anything else. We would rather show you what we know and let the clubs do the talking. There is a fee if you want to take your specs away without purchasing, which is fair enough given the studio time involved. Around New Zealand, paid fittings generally range from about $80 to $150 depending on how many clubs are covered, so it is always worth asking whether the fee is credited against a purchase.

How long does a golf club fitting take?

Most fittings take between 45 and 90 minutes depending on how many clubs are being tested. A single driver fitting sits at the shorter end, while a full set of irons plus wedges takes longer. We would rather give you the time to hit enough shots for the numbers to mean something than rush you through.

Is golf club fitting worth it for beginners?

Yes, and arguably more than for good players. You do not need a good swing to be fitted. Beginners are the most likely to be playing clubs that are too long, too stiff or too heavy, and that makes learning harder than it needs to be. Golfers of all abilities benefit from clubs that suit their swing. If you are new to the game it is also worth looking at golf lessons alongside a fitting.

Should I get fitted before buying new golf clubs?

Absolutely, and it is the single easiest way to avoid an expensive mistake. A fitting means you are investing in clubs that suit your swing rather than buying off the shelf and hoping. It is also why we do not charge for a fitting when you are genuinely in the market for new clubs.

Can a golf club fitting help fix a slice?

It can reduce it, though it will not cure it on its own. Lessons are the long-term answer, because a slice is usually a swing pattern rather than an equipment problem. That said, the right shaft, lie angle and head can take a good deal of the severity out of it while you work on the rest.

Can I get fitted indoors if the weather is poor?

Yes. Our fitting studio is fully indoors on GCQuad, so weather never affects a session. That is separate from our simulator studios for hire, which run Foresight Falcon.
