Golf Simulator & Studio Hire
Looking for a golf simulator in Mount Maunganui or Tauranga? Golf 360 has two indoor simulator studios on Matapihi Road, directly across the road from Bayfair Shopping Centre, open seven days a week.
Both studios run Foresight Sports Falcon launch monitors, so the ball and club data you see is measured rather than estimated. You can practise with proper feedback, play a full round on a famous course, or just have a hit with mates without worrying about the weather or the daylight.
Studio Hire Pricing
| 30 minutes | $30 per studio |
| 60 minutes | $60 per studio |
Up to five players per studio, and the price is per studio rather than per person, so the cost per head drops the more of you there are. Clubs are available to hire, so there is nothing you need to bring.
Two Software Packages, Not One
Our studios run both GSPro and Foresight FSX Play, which is not something every simulator venue can offer. They are quite different, and which one suits you depends on what you are here to do.
GSPro has the bigger and better course library, including the New Zealand collection below, so it is the one to ask for if you want to play a proper round. FSX Play is Foresight's own software and is strong on practice modes and skills challenges, which makes it the better choice if you are working on something specific rather than playing eighteen holes.
Just tell the team which you would like when you arrive and we will set the studio up for you.
Play New Zealand's Best Courses
The part that gets the biggest reaction is the New Zealand collection in GSPro. Tara Iti, Cape Kidnappers, Kauri Cliffs, Jack's Point, Muriwai and Tieke are all in there, and so is Omanu just down the road.
Between them that is a good chunk of the New Zealand bucket list, including a few most golfers will never get an invitation to play. You can tick off Tara Iti on a wet Tuesday night in Mount Maunganui for thirty dollars, which is a reasonable trade.
Omanu is the one that quietly gets the most use. If you have a competition coming up, playing your home course indoors and thinking your way around a few holes beforehand is genuinely useful preparation.
There is a large international library as well. If there is a particular course you are hoping to play, give us a call before you book and we will check whether it is loaded.
How Do I Book a Studio?
Studios are booked online through our booking page. Pick your time, pick 30 or 60 minutes, and you are away. Booking ahead is the safest approach, particularly on wet days and weekend evenings, which are our busiest times by a distance.
Groups, Work Functions and Corporate Events
Simulator golf works well as a group activity because non-golfers can join in without embarrassing themselves. The software handles the scoring, everyone hits from the same bay, and you can run it as stroke play, match play or closest to the pin.
For a bigger group we can open both studios at the same time, which takes you up to ten players. Give us a call on (07) 572 0770 or get in touch and we will work out the timing with you.
What If I Don't Own Any Clubs?
Not a problem, and it is a more common question than you would think. We hire clubs by the club rather than by the set, so you only pay for what you will actually use:
| Iron | $3 |
| Fairway wood | $3 |
| Driver | $6 |
A simulator studio is a genuinely good place to start if you are new to golf. Nobody is watching, the ball goes wherever it goes, and you get instant feedback on what actually happened rather than guessing.
What the Falcon Technology Shows You
Foresight Sports Falcon measures the ball and the club head directly rather than predicting flight from the swing. It is the overhead version of the same Foresight technology we use across the site, including the GCQuad units on our driving range and in our club fitting studio.
You will see ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, carry distance and club path on every shot. The practical value is that it removes the guesswork. Most golfers are surprised by their real carry numbers the first time they see them measured, and knowing your actual distances is the sort of thing that saves shots straight away.
You do not need to understand any of it to enjoy a session. It is there if you want it, and the team are happy to walk you through what you are looking at.
Playing Through Winter and Bad Weather
The studios are fully indoors, which matters more in the Bay of Plenty than people expect. A wet Sunday in July is still a full round of golf in here.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we are open until 10pm, so an evening session after work is straightforward. Plenty of golfers do their best work over winter and turn up in September playing better than they finished the season.
Opening Hours
| Saturday – Tuesday | 9:00am – 8:00pm |
| Wednesday – Friday | 9:00am – 10:00pm |
We are open every day of the year except Christmas Day, public holidays included. Full details are on our hours and location page.
More Than Just a Simulator
The studios sit alongside the rest of what we do, so it is easy to combine a session with something else while you are here:
- Driving range - 19 covered bays, floodlit, walk up and play
- Club fitting - GCQuad fitting with our PGA Professionals
- Lessons and coaching - beginners through to competitive players
- Mini golf - 18 holes, good for families and groups
- Club repairs and regripping - drop your clubs in while you play
- Golf shop - clubs, balls, bags, shoes and accessories
