Hybrid Golf Clubs

When long irons start to feel like hard work, hybrids just make things easier. Easy to launch, forgiving through impact, and versatile enough to use pretty much anywhere.

Whether you're hitting into a long par 4, getting out of the rough, or looking for something reliable off the tee, hybrids give you that extra bit of confidence. High flight, soft landings, and plenty of forgiveness when you don't quite catch it.

Replacing Your Long Irons

Most golfers who add a hybrid do it to replace their hardest-to-hit long irons, typically the 3, 4, or 5-iron. A hybrid's lower, wider centre of gravity gets the ball up in the air far more easily than the equivalent long iron, without giving up much in the way of distance.

Matching Loft to Your Set

Hybrids are usually numbered to correspond with the iron they're replacing - a 3-hybrid sits around the loft of a 3-iron, a 4-hybrid around a 4-iron, and so on. When building a set, check the loft gap between your lowest fairway wood and highest iron, and choose a hybrid (or two) that fills the space evenly rather than duplicating a distance you've already got covered.

Shop hybrids from Titleist, PING, Callaway, Mizuno, Cobra, and Wilson - there's a setup here that fits your game.

Not sure whether a hybrid or a long iron suits you better? A professional Golf Club Fitting takes the guesswork out of it.
