Mallet Putters

Mallet putters move more weight low and back in a larger head, which lifts the MOI (resistance to twisting) and makes them far more forgiving on off-centre strikes. The bigger footprint also leaves more room for alignment aids, so it's easier to set up square and start the ball on line. From compact mid-mallets through to full high-MOI wing shapes, there's a head here to steady almost any stroke.

Are mallet putters right for you?

Mallets suit golfers with a straighter back-and-through stroke, anyone chasing maximum forgiveness and stability, or players who find it hard to keep the face square. If you've got a noticeable arc and prefer feel and shot-making over forgiveness, our blade putters may suit you better, and our guide to blade vs mallet putters goes into it properly. A quick putter fitting is the surest way to find the right head shape for your stroke.

Shop mallets by brand

Browse mallets from Scotty Cameron in the Phantom range, Odyssey across 2-Ball, Ten and Jailbird, plus PING, Mizuno and Wilson. Left handers should head straight to our left handed golf putters range.

Whichever head you land on, a fresh putter grip is worth considering at the same time, since grip size changes how much your hands work through the stroke. Compare everything in our full golf putters range.
