Left-Handed, And Not Easy To Find

Best For: Left-handed mid handicappers who want forgiveness across the face and a driver that keeps the ball in play without giving up distance.

Condition: Very Good. Light wear from normal play with some marks on the sole, face and crown in good order. Comes with the headcover.

Anyone who plays left-handed knows the problem. The good drivers exist, they just rarely make it to New Zealand in any number, and by the time you find one the loft or shaft is wrong. This is a proper one: the Paradym Ai Smoke MAX, which was Callaway's most forgiving head in that range, in a 10.5 degree loft with a Tensei Blue 65 in stiff.

The MAX head is built around stability rather than workability. The Ai Smart Face was designed off thousands of real golfer swings rather than robot testing, which in practice means the ball speed holds up better when you catch it out towards the toe or low on the face. For most club golfers that matters far more than a couple of extra yards from the middle.

The Tensei Blue 65 is a mid launch, mid spin shaft that suits a smooth to moderate tempo. At 65 grams in stiff it is a sensible weight for a player with reasonable speed who does not want anything too light.

Please Note - This club has a right-handed adapter fitted to the shaft. It plays perfectly well as it is, but the adjustment settings work in the opposite direction to a standard left-handed adapter. If you plan to change the loft or lie, come and see us and we will set it where you want it, or fit a left-handed adapter for you.
