The New Titleist GTS Driver Has Arrived On Tour

The next generation of Titleist driver technology is here.

The Titleist GTS driver is now being tested on the PGA TOUR, marking the first look at what’s set to replace the hugely successful TSR range.

As always with Titleist, this isn’t just a product launch, it’s a process. Their drivers are developed through constant collaboration with the best players in the world, ensuring every performance gain is tested under real pressure.

Why “On Tour” Actually Matters

When Titleist puts a new driver into play on tour, it’s not for show.

It’s the final stage of validation, where:

  • The best players in the world test performance
  • Feedback is gathered and refined
  • The product is dialled in before retail release

It’s a big reason why Titleist continues to be one of the most trusted and most played driver brands in professional golf.

Titleist GTS Driver Models – GTS 2 vs GTS 3

While full details are still being released, early fitting information gives a strong indication of how the GTS range will be structured.

GTS 2 Driver

  • Designed for maximum forgiveness and stability
  • Likely to suit a wide range of golfers
  • Higher launch and more consistent across the face

GTS 3 Driver

  • Designed for lower spin and more workability
  • Suited to stronger players and higher swing speeds
  • More control over shot shape and trajectory

Based on Titleist’s previous releases, this split will allow golfers to choose a head that best matches their swing rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Early GTS Specs & Fitting Options

From early fitting matrix information, the GTS range is shaping up with a strong focus on customisation and performance.

Loft Options

  • 9.0°
  • 10.0°
  • 11.0°

Shaft Options (At Launch)

A full premium shaft lineup is expected from day one, including:

  • Mitsubishi Tensei 1K White, Blue, and Red profiles
  • Project X HZRDUS / Titan Black options
  • Flexes ranging from Extra Stiff through to Ladies

Inclusive Options

  • Left-handed heads confirmed
  • Dedicated ladies’ high-launch shaft setup

This reinforces Titleist’s focus on proper fitting and making sure every golfer can access the right setup.

Titleist GTS Driver Release Date – New Zealand

We’ve now had confirmation of the rollout timeline for NZ:

Golf 360 will be one of the early Titleist SureFit partners offering full GTS driver fittings before the official retail release.

Should You Wait for the Titleist GTS Driver?

If you’re thinking about upgrading your driver, this is the key question.

You should consider waiting if:

  • You’re currently using a TSR or TSi driver
  • You want the latest Titleist technology
  • You’re planning to upgrade this season

If your current driver is older or not fitted correctly, there may still be strong gains available now, but the GTS range is shaping up to be a serious step forward.

Buying Online vs Getting Fitted

At Golf 360, we work with golfers both in-store and online, so the goal is always the same, getting you into the right driver.

If you’re confident in your current setup:

  • Stick close to your existing loft and shaft profile
  • Use the GTS range as a natural upgrade

If you want to get the absolute most out of your driver:

  • A professional fitting will dial in launch, spin, and dispersion
  • You’ll be matched to the exact head and shaft combination for your swing
